Description
Crispy, spicy, and utterly addictive air-fried cauliflower bites with a bold buffalo flavor – a healthier take on a classic.
Ingredients
- → 1 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- → 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- → 1/2 cup water
- → 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- → 1/2 tsp onion powder
- → 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- → 1/4 tsp salt
- → 1/4 tsp black pepper
- → 3/4 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- → 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- → Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to form a smooth batter.
- Add cauliflower florets to the batter and toss to coat thoroughly.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Spray the basket with cooking spray.
- Place battered cauliflower in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if necessary). Air fry for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until golden and tender.
- While cauliflower cooks, whisk together buffalo sauce and melted butter in a medium bowl.
- Transfer cooked cauliflower to the sauce bowl and toss to coat.
- Return sauced cauliflower to the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes at 375°F (190°C) to set the sauce.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Ensure cauliflower florets are roughly the same size for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
- For extra crispiness, you can lightly spray the cauliflower with cooking spray before the second air fry.
- Adjust cayenne pepper in the batter or the type of buffalo sauce for desired spice level.
