Description

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

For the Apple Filling:

  • 3 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  • Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.
  • Make Crust/Crumble Mixture: In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt. Pour in the melted butter and vanilla. Stir with a fork until a crumbly dough forms.
  • Form Crust: Press about ⅔ of the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Prepare Apple Layer: In a separate bowl, gently toss the sliced apples with the salted caramel sauce, cinnamon, and nutmeg until evenly coated.
  • Assemble: Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the remaining ⅓ of the crumble mixture over the apples.
  • Bake: Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
